ABOUT URBAN SEEDS GROW
Make a future
worth tending.
We are a Newark-based community development nonprofit building the conditions for food justice, health equity, and shared opportunity.
Community-led
by design.
Our reason for being
Urban Seeds Grow, Inc. was founded in 2021 to advance food justice, health equity, environmental stewardship, workforce opportunity, and cooperative economics in Newark.
We connect community-managed green space with hands-on education, food access, arts and culture, and long-term neighborhood investment. Our work is practical by nature: build trust, make something useful, learn from it, and keep going.
